Description of Course
This course teaches child care providers to recognize sudden illnesses, treat serious injury, and how to perform the lifesaving skills of CPR for adults, children, and infants with the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Open to home-based providers receiving child care subsidy who do not have a current certificate or if have a certificate expiring in 6 months or less.
Virtual First Aid/CPR Training Process: You will need to have a internet connected computer, tablet, or web enabled phone and web camera (a built in laptop, tablet, or phone camera is adequate). Your instructor will present the course information, answer your questions, demonstrate skills, and observe you performing skills. Upon completion of virtual training, you’ll complete a written examination and will be issued your authorization certificate.
Please be advised that you will need to make an appointment to perform the skills test at one of the vendor’s locations once you have completed the virtual training.
